CD - Someday She Will Fly
Our Granddaughter Emilie is Microcephalic, Blind and cannot get around. She lives with her Mom and four other children on a homestead near Barry’s Bay Ontario Canada. She requires care twenty-four hours a day. This CD is about her and where she lives. It was put together to help raise funds for her care. The title song is about Emilie and her life. The Arrows last flight is about the ill Fated Canadian Avro Arrow, which never went into production although it was years ahead of its time. The Song is a musical picture of the take off and last flight. The test pilot was from Barry’s Bay. I used to drop by the Wilno Tavern and sit in with the blues band during their Jam Session hence “Wilno Tuesday Night” My Father was a lovely piano player and “Big John” (As he was known) is with fond memories listening to him in our front room when I was a boy. I saw a veteran on TV during Remembrance Day very sad that people were forgetting what it was all about. This is my thank you to all the men and women who served their country. I wrote the last song the first year I arrived in Canada and I found it a wonderful and magical place. It’s Canada from a thankful emigrants point of view. Enjoy.
All the proceeds of this CD go towards the welfare of Emilie.
